Council Moves Towards Senior Center Task Force

A task force would determine the future of senior programming in La Crosse after a city council Tuesday night vote.  The city plans to study what to offer seniors in the future and where to offer it.  The council vote follows a recommendation by the city’s public works board to study the two senior centers with the view of shutting both of them down after three years.  The city spends big money every year to maintain the two 19th century buildings but both apparently need hundreds of thousands of dollars of updates and repairs.
