Parking Talks Start Up Again

How close is a new parking ramp to coming to downtown La Crosse? So far, no one’s saying much about when a deal might be done between the city and developer Don Weber on a possible ramp. But a special city council meets again this week to talk it over with Weber’s people. That’s twice in one week. Prior to that, the committee had not met in two months. We’ve heard that a deal is not necessarily close but Weber has said that a potential third Riverside Center building could be off the table unless the city helps him build a ramp on a lot near the La Crosse center. The original development agreement for a third building called for Weber to include parking levels in the building itself.
