The LaCrosse county medical examiner provides the cause of death for a college student found in the Mississippi River this week.   Craig Meyers drowned.  That’s the determination from medical examiner Dr. John Steers.  Alcohol intoxication and hypothermia were contributing factors in the death of the 21 year old West Salem native.  Dr. Steers says it could take a week to get a blood alcohol level on Meyers.  Results from a full autopsy could be coming within two weeks.
