Two La Crosse city council districts get new representatives; only 2 of 6 races were opposed
Six districts for La Crosse’s city council were up for election this spring, but only two of those seats were contested.
From unofficial election results Tuesday, in District 1, Tamara Dickinson defeated Zach Harter by 9.41 percent with 946 votes cast.
The seat was open, after the retirement of longtime council member Andrea Richmond.

Tamra Dickinson — 516 — 54.55%
Zach Harter — 427 — 45.14%
Write-In Totals — 3 — 0.32%
In District 2, Erin Goggin was the winner over Michael Davis by 37.82 percent with 743 votes cast.
This seat, too, was open, as Scott Neumeister decided not to run, instead choosing to try and win a La Crosse School Board seat, which he did.

Erin Goggin — 508 — 68.37%
Michael Davis — 227 — 30.55%
Write-In Totals — 8 — 1.08%
The unopposed seats for city council included president Barb Janssen in District 3, Larry Sleznikow in District 4, Jenasea Hameister in District 5 and Chris Kahlow in District 6.
