Jillian Olson joins La Crosse Talk PM on Monday to discuss some of the big plans and potential plans for the Outdoor Recreation Alliance, including a “Universal Treehouse” and bike park.

La Crosse Talk PM airs weekdays at 5:06 p.m. Listen on the WIZM app, online here, or on 92.3 FM / 1410 AM / 106.7 FM (north of Onalaska). Find all the podcasts here or subscribe to La Crosse Talk PM wherever you get your podcasts.

The group is looking to purchase 277 acres of land on La Crosse’s southside in what its calling a “trail farm.”

Olson, ORA’s operations director, discusses what they intend to do with that and how La Crosse County might help.

Olson also talks about what ORA does in general and some of the other big projects they have ongoing, including two in La Crosse — one’s a treehouse — and a bike park in West Salem.

After that, I talk quick about an Ohio train derailment that looks to have a huge environmental impact spanning multiple states. Hoping to have, later this week, someone with the county on to discuss the situation and how that might get handled in La Crosse.
