Crash outside Westby church leads to drunk-driving accusation

A Sunday morning crash outside a church in Westby had led to an arrest.

The one-car accident happened around 2:30 a.m., when a car rolled over and struck a staircase outside the Westby Coon Prairie Lutheran Church.

Chloe Stanley of Westby is suspected of driving drunk and failing to control a vehicle. The 21-year-old was taken to a Viroqua hospital for treatment.

The car caused damage to a staircase, a railing and a retaining wall at the church.

No date is listed yet for a court appearance.
