La Crosse resident celebrates 103rd birthday at Brookdale
One La Crosse resident who’s well into her second century celebrated her 103rd birthday Monday.
Relatives and friends helped Agatha Schild, also known as Aggie, mark her birthday at Brookdale Senior Living on East Avenue South.
Schild moved to La Crosse decades ago from New Hampton, Iowa, where she operated a restaurant.
Schild had a garden last year, but isn’t sure whether she’s going to try growing anything again this year.
