New drug charges in St. Croix County for two suspects in La Crosse meth bust
More drug trouble for at least two men recently caught in La Crosse with 11 pounds of meth in their car.
Three suspects were jailed in La Crosse after that drug search on Jan. 20 — said to be the biggest meth bust in the city’s history.
Two of those men are now charged with similar crimes in St. Croix County, in the Hudson, Wis., area.
One of them, Emmanuel Flores-Sauceda, posted $25,000 bail to get out of the La Crosse jail this month, but is now in the St. Croix jail after an arrest last week.
Flores-Sauceda and Armando Lara-Nieto, both from the Twin Cities area, are being charged with drug trafficking in St. Croix County, as well as La Crosse County.
Lara-Nieto and the third suspect, Juventino Plancarte Lara of California, are still jailed in La Crosse. Juventino Plancarte Lara on $150,000 cash bond and . Armando Lara Nieto at $50,000
The three were arrested in La Crosse last month, after officers found 11 pounds of meth in their car. Street value for that much meth is about $124,000.
Officers first noticed the car on I-90, and then observed that the men parked the car in La Crosse and stayed inside it for hours on a very cold day, with windows rolled down, as if they were waiting for someone to arrive.
