Brownsville man accused of ramming ex-girlfriend’s car, making death threats
A 30-year-old Brownsville, Minn., man is accused of hit and run and endangering safety, for allegedly crashing into his ex-girlfriend’s car on purpose and forcing her off the road.
According to police, David J. Johnson reportedly made several threats to kill the woman, who told police that Johnson wrecked the door handles and the outside mirror of her Kia Soul, after she locked herself inside.
She tried to drive away but Johnson, in his 2000 Ford F-250, rammed her vehicle on County Highway ZZ, near Onalaska on Dec. 11.
The woman told police that she went through a ditch, then into someone’s driveway, where Johnson yelled at her before leaving the scene.
Johnson is being held in jail on a $5,000 cash bond. An evidence hearing is scheduled next week. Johnson faces four charges, including hit and run, endangering safety, and intimidation of a victim.

Too many people using their cars in an improper manner. In order to discourage such activities the laws should be more punitive.
