Per the request of Environmental Planner Lewis Kuhlman, La Crosse Mayor has scheduled a presentation to go before the city council.

The meeting will begin at 5:45 p.m. to go over a 58-page energy report found here. The meeting will take place at the Southside Neighborhood Center (masks required) or online here.

The Energy Action Report was prepared by La Crosse’s Energy Action Team, which included planning team representing La Crosse residents, businesses, nonprofit organizations and education institutions.

The report includes near-, medium-, and long-term strategies to engage the community, update processes and policies, and create opportunities to reduce the city’s carbon emissions.

The report is intended to serve as a standalone document, but select portions of it — such as the strategy recommendations and baseline data — will be included in La Crosse’s Climate Action Plan in the energy chapter.
