Two Minnesota residents have been sentenced to federal prison for trying to sell meth in western Wisconsin.
Jeffrey Costillo of Blaine, Minnesota received a 7-year prison term, and Denise Kraimer of Columbia Heights was ordered to serve 5 years behind bars.
Investigators say Kraimer and Costillo drove to Prairie du Chien in the summer of 2019, to make a drug deal with a buyer who turned out to be a police informant.
More than 100 grams of meth were found in the car, along with drug paraphernalia.
Kraimer denied she was involved in drug trafficking, but a search of her Facebook account turned up conversations where she was arranging drug deals.
Since the drug incident, Costillo also has been charged in Minnesota with allegedly shooting another man in the leg over a vehicle trade that went wrong.
