One person hurt following two weekend shootings in La Crosse
The La Crosse Police Department is investigating shootings that happened both Friday night and Sunday morning.
The first shooting happened at a residence in the 600 block of Rose St. around 5:50 p.m. Friday. Responding officers said several rounds were fired into the residence, but no one was hit or injured. That investigation is ongoing, but police said the victim is not cooperating.
The second shooting happened at 3:51 Sunday morning. La Crosse Police responded to a residence that was hosting a party where shots were fired. One person was hit by a round but is expected to survive. There were no other reports of injuries. Police said that investigation is also ongoing but hindered because of lack of cooperation from those who were present.
