Congressman Ron Kind predicts overwhelming support for impeachment

Before joining a session in the House of Representatives to cast his vote in favor of impeaching President Donald Trump, Congressman Ron Kind held a news conference to promote the effort to remove the president from office a week before President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration.

Kind anticipated bipartisan support in Congress for accusing Trump of inciting insurrection.

“If what happened last Wednesday is not an impeachable offense, there is no impeachable offense,” Kind said. “If this were a secret ballot, it would be an overwhelming vote for impeachment in the House.”

The congressman from La Crosse claimed Trump still presented a clear and present danger to the safety of the country.

“He has not apologized for his role in this at all, and he is still the Commander in Chief in charge of the most powerful military in the world, and obviously having influence over millions of Americans as we saw on the streets of our nation’s capital last Wednesday,” Kind said.

He noted the increased security measures of the capital with barricades and a military presence.

“There are more military boots on the ground today in front of our nation’s capital than all of the military personnel in both Iraq and Afghanistan,” Kind said. “This is not the way it is supposed to be.”

Critics of the impeachment vote said it would further divide the country, but Kind said it was a necessary step of healing.

“Insurrectionist comments and actions must have accountability, and that is what Congress is bringing today.”

Kind called for members of the Republican party to show they no longer support the president, noting how he voted for Vice President Mike Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office.

“Ultimately, this is going to come down to my Republican colleagues through Congress marching down to the White House and telling the president they no longer have his back,” Kind said. “That’s the only reason Richard Nixon stepped down and resigned in 1974. I think it is going to require the same type of action today. This is really a moment for the Republican Party to determine what type of future they want for their party and for our country.”

Ron Kind has proven himself to be nothing more than a Nancy Pelosi hack. His partisan attacks on the president and the 50% of the voters of the 3rd district do nothing more than foment hatred. He and his reckless party are the cause of violence. Ron and his fellow dems have destroyed the major cities they run. They have encouraged their followers by silence to burn down police stations in Minneapolis and elsewhere. Now they want to destroy the president who has done more to bring prosperity to the average family than any other. He has brought peace between Israel and many Arab nations. He has withdrawn our troops from foreign countries. He made Europe pay for their own defense. Ron Kind has no business in Congress. Perhaps the should get what Max Waters has suggested that people get in his face no matter where he is.
