La Crosse Congressman Ron Kind is now among the Democrats in Washington calling on President Donald Trump to resign, or to be removed through the 25th Amendment.

Democrat Kind tells Wisconsin reporters that Trump should step down voluntarily, and allow Vice President Mike Pence to serve until Joe Biden is sworn in as president on January 20th.

Kind also is calling for an investigation into the rioting which occurred at the Capitol on Wednesday, when protesters attempted to stop Congress from formally declaring Biden the winner of the November election.

The Congressman, starting his 13th term this week, wants to know why Capitol security was not prepared for the demonstrators who stormed into the building.

Kind said earlier this week that “lawless behavior” cannot be condoned at the Capitol, arguing that looting and rioting is “crossing the line into criminal behavior.”
