After five months of steady increases, the passenger numbers at the La Crosse Airport dipped a little in October.

A total of 3903 people flew in or out of La Crosse last month, a drop of nearly 200 passengers from September.

The volume was down 54 per cent from October of last year.

The airport has been climbing back from a low of only 372 airplane passengers in April, right after the pandemic hit the region.

Total ridership for 2020 is at 36,250, a level normally reached around June.

It’s also less than half the number for the same period a year ago.
