Jackson County sheriff’s office adopts COVID-19 screening procedure for calls

Published

on

The Jackson County sheriff’s office has a plan to evaluate calls that are not life-threatening, while the coronavirus is spreading.

The county’s communications center will ask callers if they’re being monitored for COVID-19, if they have symptoms of the illness, and if they have been to high-risk areas.

Staffers will determine the appropriate response, if the caller answers ‘yes’ to any of the three questions.

Anyone who has a non-emergency call is asked to visit the Jackson County webpage and file an on-line complaint.
