While waiting to be tried on federal drug charges, a La Crosse County man is sentenced to time served in a local meth case.

Eric Sobek of Onalaska has been given credit for two months spent in the county jail after a September drug arrest.

Sobek is pleading ‘no contest’ to disorderly conduct after a search at a La Crosse motel.

Charges of possessing 230 grams of meth and a switchblade knife were dropped as part of a plea agreement on Monday.

Federal charges were filed against Sobek a month ago.

Sobek could get anywhere from 5 to 40 years in prison if he’s convicted on the federal charges.
