Hokah’s Como Falls gets nearly $500k in disaster relief from state

Governor Tim Walz has authorized the use of Minnesota’s Disaster Assistance Contingency account to help pay for damage caused by severe winds, rainfall and flooding in mid-July of 2018. 

More than $460,000 will be allocated to Houston County due to storm damage that occurred in Hokah, Minn., specifically to Como Falls. 

The damage was estimated at close to $1 million at the park. 

Dedicated to Fillmore County was $128,000 for damage in the city of Rushford, Norway Township, and elsewhere in the county.
