The bandshell planned for La Crosse’s Riverside Park still needs a little tweaking before it can be built.

Bandshell promoter Terry Bauer asked the city’s park board Thursday night for more time to make a change in the project design.

That’s because the city claims a plan to attach the bandshell to a remodeled Riverside bandstand could cause structural damage.

Bauer said the change will raise costs for the project a little.

He’s meeting with city architects next week to work out the problem.

The revised design for the bandshell will be brought to the park board next month.
