Another year has wrapped up for Rotary Lights in Riverside Park.

Director Pat Stephens said he’s continually amazed by the support from midwest communities.

“It really has become a midwest attraction,” he said, adding that the second year of ice skating has been a tremendous success, and he questions why they didn’t start earlier.

“That was the No. 1  request by people every year,” he said.

Thousands walked or drove through the Rotary Lights display, which switches on the night after Thanksgiving and featured millions of lights.

Next year’s Rotary Lights will be the 25th year and Stephens said they’ll be getting to work soon.
