STRUM, Wis.  More information has been released from Friday’s officer-involved shooting in Strum.

Gunderson

Strum police got a call about Ryan Gundersen having a gun that night, which violated a court order.

Police said ended up pulling the 37-year-old over in a driveway.

At one point, police said Gunderson pointed a handgun at Osseo Police Chief William Prudlick and Eleva officer Kimberly Potts.

The officers responded shooting Gunderson several times. He was subsequently flown to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., with non-life-threatening injuries.

Gunderson faces extradition on charges of pointing a gun at a law enforcement officer, recklessly endangering safety and disorderly conduct.

Both Prudlick and Potts have been placed on leave while the shooting is investigated.

Kudos to your lawyer enforcement officers!!! I was beginning to wonder of law enforcement training icluded only ” shoot to kill” these days, as it seems like all persons encountering conflict with officers are shot and killed….not just disabled.
Maybe more departments should learn your tactics. Sometimes, shoot to kill is necessary, but I think many cases would end better and police could be better understood if they disabled suspects and then proved their point!!!!
