Onalaska software company nets top award for cyber security innovation
One big cybersecurity award for a software company won’t wind up on a wall in San Francisco, Seattle or even Austin, Texas.
Sergeant Laboratories in Onalaska has made a splash in the industry with a top award of “Most Innovative Cybersecurity Analytics” from the industry publication Cyber Defense Magazine — a widely distributed industry publication.
The company was cited for its streamlined approach for dealing with cyber attacks. Something that’s especially important in a time of what seems like constant hacks of everything from Experian to Facebook, says Josh Paape with Sergeant Labs.
“We’re always keeping an ear to what’s going on out there and trying to make improvements and learn from those efforts,” Paape said. “There’s a lot of scary stories out there and something that’s been increasingly on the minds of organizations.”
Cyber Defense Magazine’s publisher said the company is, “an innovator on a mission to help stop breaches and get one step ahead of the next threat, proactively.”
With daily news about cyber breaches, clearly the award comes at a choice time for company.
“We hope that our solution offers a way to help and prevent those breaches from happening in the future, and giving organizations the potential to stop those breaches before they become too problematic,” Paape said.
The publication considers companies from around the globe for its awards.
