Motorcycle rider killed in Monroe County
Driver may have been going too fast on state highway
An Illinois man has died while riding a motorcycle through Monroe County.
Fifty-five-year-old Marek Surmacz was thrown off his cycle after he spun out of control on Highway 27 near Cataract.
Surmacz died after the cycle flipped over in a ditch.
The crash happened late Saturday afternoon.
Investigators think speed may have been a factor.
