A shots fired call in the town of Campbell with what police called a long gun.

Police got the call around 6 p.m. Thursday that someone had fired at least one round from the long gun toward a vehicle parked in front of 1805 Caroline St.

After setting up a perimeter, police made contact with Jason Ransome and convinced him to exit the apartment. He did so without incident.

Police determined the 37-year-old did fire the gun into the air. One shell casing was recovered.

Ransome is charged with recklessly endangering safety and disorderly conduct while armed.
