He had gone from being a favorite for president earlier this year to becoming a blip on the campaign radar.

Wisconsin governor Scott Walker has abruptly dropped out of the GOP presidential race, a little over two months after declaring as a candidate.

Speaking briefly in Madison on Sunday, Walker repeated a favorite campaign phrase in calling for a positive Republican race, people want to be “for something,” not against.

Before the first national debate in August, Walker was high enough in the polls to be given a spot near center stage, next to leading candidate Donald Trump.

This weekend, Walker had zero percent vote in a CNN poll.
