Trio charged for selling drugs at Tomah VA

3 Monroe County residents are in jail after their arrests for selling illegal narcotics at the Tomah VA Medical Center.

On Monday, an investigation led to the arrest of 60 year old Bernard Jackson of Tomah, a Tomah VA Medical Center employee, for selling illegal narcotics on VA Medical Center property. While conducting the investigation it was found that the narcotics purchased from Jackson had been provided to him by 49 year old Alisa Hamley of Sparta. Hamley was also arrested.

On Tuesday. the investigation led to the arrest of 61 year old Elijah Pates after it was learned that Pates attempted to sell medications to a Veteran at the Tomah VA. All three were arrested and taken to the Monroe County jail where they await court hearings.
