Advocate Agrees With Assessment of ID Acquisition

The typical “you-need-an-identification-for-everything-else” argument apparently didn’t fly with the federal judge who struck down Wisconsin’s voter ID law this week.  And it shouldn’t have, says Jay Heck with Wisconsin Common Cause

In his opinion, the judge noted that minorities and poor people were less likely to have identification and therefore the need for an ID created too much of an obstacle to voting for those groups.
