Aquinas Loses Two Coaches
Rick Schneider, who led the Aquinas boys basketball program to three state
titles in ten years, is stepping down as boys basketball coach. Also, Aquinas girls basketball coach Matt Watson is resigning. Watson coached the Aquinas girls for six seasons. Schneider led Aquinas to state titles in 2008, 2011 and 2013 and runners-up finishes in 2007 and 2009.
Schneider says he hopes to spend more time with his family. Schneider broke the news to his team Thursday night; he described it as a sad meeting.
