Kelsey Investigation Continues

The investigation into Tomah Mayoral candidate and councilman, Leroy Kelsey

has now hit the state level. Kelsey has been sent a letter from the Department of Justice explaining his ineligibility to run for mayor as he is a convicted felon. The Monroe County D.A. is also knee deep in his investigation .

D.A. Kevin Croninger says he will hold off filing criminal charges against Kelsey for the time being until some DOJ procedures take place. WIZM news learned on Monday that Kelsey was convicted of felony theft in 1990…a charge he says he thought was dropped after his conviction.
