Drunk Driver Nails La Crosse Police Squad, Clips Another

Published

Rough week-end for the La Crosse police fleet.  Cops say officers had a drunk driver stopped early Monday morning just off of West Avenue.  Two squads involved.  He was going through the field sobriety tests when another drunk driver clipped one squad, really wrecked the other one, and then took off.  Cops had to chase 23 year-old Brian Miller for a few blocks before he finally stopped.   Apparently told police that he thought he hit something but was a little unsure.  Miller blew a .197.  They got him for drunk driving and hit and run.  The severely damaged squad is a brand new one.  Uncertain at this point if it’s salvageable.  The other squad has just minor damage.
