When Monroe County district attorney Dan Cary died this week, he was only one year into his latest four-year term.

Now, the governor’s office is accepting applications for someone to serve as D-A until the 2016 election. Candidates are being asked to submit a resume, a cover letter, and references to Governor Walker’s office by a deadline of November 19th.

Cary’s funeral is scheduled for tomorrow at a church near Westby.
