Census Update
No need to be paranoid about sending in your census form. LaCrosse county zoning director Jeff Bluske is heading up the local effort to make sure everyone is counted. He says the survey is completely confidential. Census workers don’t share this information with any department. Bluske says fill out the ten question form or someone with the feds could show up at your door to make sure they get the information from you. For the first time ever you could also face a fine if you knowingly ignore the once a decade count. The census determines how much money will be coming into a community for various programs. With population determining how much each region will receive. Census forms should start showing up in local mailboxes during the next couple of weeks.
