Man arrested in Pettibone Park shooting

La Crosse Police said a shooting in Pettibone Park doesn’t appear to have injured anyone but does lead to the arrest of a 17-year-old on an attempted homicide charge.
Officers were called to the 600 Block of Pettibone Drive for a call of shots fired about 11:15 p.m. Wednesday night.
La Crosse Police said their investigation revealed that there was a fight that led to shots fired between people.
The department said they aren’t aware of anyone being injured.
They also called it an isolated incident.
Antonio S. Shaw, Jr., was identified as one of the people who fired a weapon during the incident. He was taken into custody on charges of attempted 2nd Degree Homicide, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, and 2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety.
Shaw is currently in the La Crosse County Jail.
“Safety is a top priority and there is zero-tolerance for violence in our community. Department members have been working diligently to investigate and hold those responsible for their actions during this incident,” City of La Crosse Police Chief Shawn Kudron.
Police say the investigation into the incident is still open. They’re asking anyone who may have information about what happened to contact La Crosse Police. Antonio S. Shaw, Jr., and anyone else “who fired a weapon during the incident”, are not welcome to live in this community.

That park should be patrolled every 2-3 hours after 9 pm in the summer, because it’s isolated after dark and I do know from others that drugs are sold & exchanged, gay guys gather to have sex on the north end of Pettibone…it is not safe anymore after 8 pm. La Crosse is overrun by minorities with guns, drugs, fighting, robberies, rape, trafficking etc. Yet when they’re caught our liberal judges give them a slap on the wrist, no bail or very little and do not give guilty criminals the amount of prison time that fits their crimes.

I’ll just say that rotten apple didn’t fall far from the tree. Felon at 17 nice. That’s why I laugh when people say “ parents should know where what their kids are doing”. In cases like this they do and they “good job , you made your old man proud”.
