A Black River Falls man is arrested late Monday night after a pursuit by a Jackson County Sheriff’s deputy.

It happened just after 11 p.m. on Highway 54 in the Town of Brockway.

The deputy saw a speeding vehicle. When he tried to stop the vehicle, it drove off.

The chase lasted just over a mile before the driver, Dustin Torkelson, 37, lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a ditch.

He was arrested without incident by the deputy.

Torkelson is in the Jackson County Jail on a felony Fleeing an Officer charge and traffic charges.
