Four marsh trails, Pettibone Drive North road closed due to high water

Citing high water and unsafe conditions, the City of La Crosse is closing four trails and a park road until further notice.

On Tuesday morning, the city’s Parks and Recreation Department said that access is barricaded to the following:

Pettibone Drive North-access to the north end of Pettibone Park.

Marsh Trails-Cottonwood, Grand Crossing, Vietnam Veterans, and the Willow Trail

Recent rains caused a rise in the Mississippi River. It is forecast to crest at 10.2 feet on Wednesday.
