Published

on

It only took three clues to find this year’s Riverfest Medallion.

Organizers said late Wednesday morning that it was found by two people named only as Abby and Izzy who worked to figure out the clues that the medallion was hidden by the entrance sign to Rowe Park in Onalaska.

They told the Riverfest staff that they’d narrowed the location to either Myrick or Rowe Park based on the clues given out each morning.

For their sleuthing efforts, Abby and Izzy four Riverfest Buttons, fifty dollars in food vouchers, four can koozies, and ten beverage tickets.

#1-Festive days and fireworks bright,
But your prize hides out of sight.
Beyond the crowds and river’s sound,
Your treasure waits on quieter ground.

#2-Though Riverfest is La Crosse’s pride,
The medallion lies just outside.
Not downtown, but still nearby,
Where trees and laughter meet the sky.

#3-North of the bluffs and far from shore,
Seek a place where children explore.
A city shares a founder’s name,
And parks within it stoke the game.
