Flood watch for parts of Black, Kickapoo rivers

The rain that moved through Tuesday in Western Wisconsin leads to a flood watch for parts of two rivers in the area.

The region may see anywhere from 2-3 inches or rain between now and Friday. Due to the amount of rain, minor flooding is forecast.

The Black River is one of the two under the watch. The area affected runs from Black River Falls to Galesville in Jackson, Trempealeau, and La Crosse counties.

In the Black River Falls area, the watch goes from Friday morning to early Sunday morning.

For the Galesville area, the watch is from Sunday afternoon to Tuesday, July 1.

The Kickapoo River in Crawford, Vernon, and Richland counties may also see minor flooding in several locations.

The watch in Gays Mills begins Thursday afternoon and lasts until further notice according to the National Weather Service.

For the Readstown area, the watch extends from Thursday evening to early Monday morning.

Lastly, in Soldiers Grove, the flood watch runs from Friday evening to late Monday morning.
