Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect until this evening
The National Weather Service in La Crosse has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect until 9 p.m. this evening.
Counties affected by the watch include Crawford and Vernon in Wisconsin; Houston County in Minnesota; and Allamakee, Clayton, and Fayette counties in Iowa.
The NWS said that strong to severe storms are possible this afternoon into this evening. Heavy rains, gusty winds, and hail are possible threats.
They also said that this week there could be heavy rains at times which may cause localized flooding.
