Public meeting Monday on Holmen road project proposal

La Crosse County’s Highway Department has a informational meeting planned Monday evening regarding work on one of it’s roads near Holmen High School.

The county wants to present it’s plans for improving the portion of County MH between Briggs Road and County HD (also known as Holmen Drive).

They said that stretch of road is in poor condition and needs upgrades.

Plans call for replacing the pavement and curb ramps. They’d also improve permanent signing and pavement marking.

Bike lanes are part of the design.

The meeting begins at 5 p.m. at the Holmen Village Hall at 421 S. Main Street.

A presentation starts at 5:10 p.m. followed by an open house format.
