Multiple charges of sexual assault have been filed against a man from La Crosse County who appeared in court on Tuesday. A cash bond of $5000 was set for Jeffrey Michel II, and he has been released from jail, with his next court date set for Thursday. County court records show that Michel is suspected of 2nd and 4th degree sexual assault, causing injury.

The district attorney’s office had requested a $10,000 bond, arguing that the victim in the case is scared of Michel, and she claims that Michel has threatened to kill her. Michel has been ordered not to contact the woman, but his attorney says Michel is not interested in getting in touch with her.

Judge Gloria Doyle noted that Michel has missed some court hearings in recent months, and she warned him not to skip his next hearing.

Way to give in to the pedophile and to not protect the victim Doyle. Our judicial system helps the criminals and does not help the public/victims.

“He has missed some court cases.” So I’ll let you out and lower your bind because your record shows you do respect our system and we as judges know you will be back.
