The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is asking that people in the Town of Northfield make sure their vehicles and homes are locked after two people ran on foot after a car chase earlier on Saturday.

The township is just off of I-94 northwest between Hixton and Osseo.

A post on the sheriff’s office Facebook page said they’re looking for Sophie Gerisch, 17, listed as a runaway from Overbrook, Kansas. The post said she’s wearing a light colored shirt, possibly white, with dark colored shorts.

Also wanted is 20-year-old Brian Shores. The sheriff’s office said he has a history of being armed. His clothing description said he’s wearing a gray or yellow shirt with dark pants or shorts.

Anyone who sees them is asked to contact 911 immediately. Don’t approach them.

They asked people in that area to “Secure your vehicles and residence by locking the doors. Do not leave your vehicle keys inside them.”

This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
