Viterbo releases big line-up of concerts and plays for the next season

From Broadway to ballet and country music, Viterbo University has announced its entertainment season for the next 12 months, 33 acts in all.

Big-name performers coming to the Viterbo stage include the Righteous Brothers on their farewell tour, Broadway star Bernadette Peters, and musician Ben Folds.

There will be several tribute shows featuring the music of ABBA, Queen, Pink Floyd, Steely Dan, and Johnny Cash.

Viterbo will also put on its own stage productions of “Little Women,” Agatha Christie’s “The Mousetrap,” and the musical version of the Mel Brooks comedy “Young Frankenstein.”

The opening show of the Viterbo schedule will be the Queen tribute, “Killer Queen,” on July 18th. Also included on the schedule are local favorites, such as the Viterbo Christmas concert, and the Nutcracker Ballet by the La Crosse Dance Centre.

A native of Prairie du Chien, Brad graduated from UW - La Crosse and has worked in radio news for more than 30 years, mostly in the La Crosse area. He regularly covers local courts and city and county government. Brad produces the features "Yesterday in La Crosse" and "What's Buried on Brad's Desk." He also writes the website "Triviazoids," which finds odd connections between events that happen on a certain date, and he writes and performs with the local comedy group Heart of La Crosse. Brad been featured on several national TV programs because of his memory skills.
