La Crosse Talk airs weekdays at 6-8 a.m. Listen on the WIZM app, online here, or on 92.3 FM / 1410 AM / 106.7 FM (north of Onalaska). Find all the podcasts here or subscribe to La Crosse Talk wherever you get your podcasts.

The La Crosse city council is about to vote on some zoning changes to allow for the demolition of the Hogan Administrative site. Engel talks about that process and how the parking lot there is still considered a road dating back to the 1800s. He also talks about when the site would be torn down for a new elementary school.

We started the conversation about what happens over summer, including classes and building updates.

Ended things talking about the state budget process, and how the district has to play a bit of a guessing game when it comes to education funding and all the uncertainty that comes with that, while also negotiating with teachers yearly for new contracts.
