A Town of Campbell man is facing several drug charges after a search at his home finds 62 pounds of marijuana.

Police Chief Trisha Stratman said Steven Harter, 40, was arrested on June 5 at a residence at 909 Hanson Road.

Harter’s arrest was the result of an investigation that began in Colorado in February.

Chief Stratman said that’s when they were contacted by the Boulder County Drug Task Force. They were working on a multi-state drug trafficking investigation. Information they uncovered showed that large amounts of marijuana were transported to an address in the township.

The subsequent investigation led to Harter and the search of his home.

Inside, Chief Stratman said that they found the marijuana, six firearms, psilocybin mushroom products, and drug paraphernalia.

He appeared on June 6 in La Crosse County Circuit Court. At the hearing, he was released on a $5,000 signature bond.

Harter is back in court on June 20.

Chief Stratman said the investigation is continuing with additional charges possible.
