Toudeng Thao pleaded guilty to the charges in March. Thao and his former spouse, Joua Thao, were arrested last year during a traffic stop in La Crosse, while returning from Minnesota, where they reportedly picked up some meth.

A Justice Department release said the Thaos sold 203 grams of meth to an informant in La Crosse.

Mr. Thao claimed to have received meth from sources in other states, as well as from Mexico and Canada. He was also accused of possessing a firearm during a drug transaction and sought more firearms.

Joua Thao was previously sentenced to probation during a separate court hearing in March.
