Busy roads await holiday travelers

You’ll have plenty of company if you’re traveling over the Memorial Day weekend.
According to AAA, they’re expecting more than 750,000 people on Wisconsin roads for the holiday.
Overall, AAA projects more than 45 million people in the country are traveling at least 50 miles from home over the weekend.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (DOT) provided three different days and times when travel would be at its peak.
The first is from 1-9 p.m. on Thursday, May 22, then Friday, May 23 from noon-8 p.m., and finally on Monday, May 26 from 4-7 p.m.
According to the DOT, most road construction projects are pausing work over the weekend to have as many lanes as possible for traffic.
