Tractor accident victim airlifted from scene

The driver of a tractor that who was pinned under a tractor that flipped over Sunday morning was airlifted from the scene with serious injuries.

Information from the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office said it happened just after 11 a.m. at N38064 Hunts Valley Rd. in the Town of Burnside northwest of Independence.

Deputies found the driver unconscious but breathing. Medical and fire department members from Independence got the person out.

GundersenAir flew the driver to La Crosse for treatment.

The name of the driver isn’t being released at this time by the sheriff’s office.
