You could call it partly a treasure hunt, or partly solving a mystery, or a big lesson in La Crosse’s history.

Sophomores from Logan High School spent part of Friday in the downtown area, participating in a yearly scavenger hunt designed to teach students things they may not know about their city. The event began and ended at the Main Street library, with the students using library resources to help them answer a 40-question quiz about La Crosse, past and present.

Some students taking part in the event say they enjoyed visiting the old Hollywood Theater on 5th Avenue, and Leithold Music on South 4th Street.
