Power outages dot area after storms
The storm system that moved through Thursday afternoon caused power outages in several places in the area.
One caused a traffic mess when part of a billboard was blown into some power lines on the Causeway. Traffic was detoured until the line could be cleared.
There were also reports of outages on the north side and in Onalaska.
The public library canceled an evening movie due to the outage.
Crews from Xcel Energy restored power to all but a handful of customers by 9 p.m.
