La Crosse Police recognize and award officers

The La Crosse Police Department honored a number of its officers Thursday night at its annual awards and recognition ceremony.

Held at the Black River Beach Neighborhood Center, nine officers, one current K-9 officer, and the late K-9 Loki received awards for saving lives, removing guns and drugs from the streets, and for developing the department’s drone program.

Fourteen officers were also recognized for providing Narcan and saving the lives of people who accidentally overdosed.

Here is the list of those honored:

  • Officer Alexandra Beardmore – Traffic Safety Award
  • Officer Hunter McClone – Life Preservation Award
  • Officer Jesse Cotto – Life Preservation Award
  • Officer Chad Maske – Life Preservation Award
  • Officer Cody Wagner – Life Preservation Award
  • Superior Achievement – Officer Kevin Lozano and K-9 Rock
  • Superior Achievement – Officer Aaron Westpfahl and K-9 Loki
  • Departmental Citation – Officer Graham Eddy
  • Chief’s Achievement Award – Sgt. Daniel Mandujano
